The bosun's chair buddy is a tool for those of you who prefer the bosuns chair as your means of going aloft and as a result have the persistent problem of limited access to the masthead. It allows you to move out of your chair onto the double steps that will position you for easy masthead access. It is a continuous piece of 2in nylon webbing with a reinforced step at either end and a stout D ring secured in the middle. The steps have batten reinforcers to lessen foot fatigue. Its deployed length is 4 feet. There is a grommet placed above each step to receive a short piece of line [not included] to be secured with a figure 8 knot on the outboard side of each grommet. This line prevents the steps from moving too far forward. The Buddy should be used in conjunction with the mast mate workbelt so you can safely secure yourself to the mast and have both hands free. It is easily stowed in its folded position and simply deployed by securing the D ring to the masthead. As with all mast mate products, the bosun's chair buddy has a no questions asked money back guarantee.
